Our Mission

Bangla Kendro, A place to call second home for all Bangla speaking Community Members.

We dream to have a community center located within the DC Metro area, ideally in Virginia, USA where we will have the following facilities and much much more –

• An Auditorium to hold events for the community programs, festivals, retreats, parties, and different celebrations.
• A Library with a rich collection of Bangla literature, an archive for research in Bangla Language, books on Bangla Culture and Heritage, on Bangladesh and its honorable and eminent history, etc.
• A place where learning and development will take place in the area of different languages for the community members, various professional skills to equip them to become strong, motivated and independent individuals, counsel them to find an identity, a place in the society to call their own.
• The learning will also include playing musical instruments, singing, dancing, acting, reciting, sculpture making, painting, etc.
• The center will offer services in notarization, taxes, real estate, scholarships, university applications, immigration, event management, match making, etc.
• The center also plans to offer a Cafe/Restaurant of well prepared Bangla Cuisine, room services for visitors and tourists, Senior Home, Daycare, Pool, Gym, all in reasonable rates specially for the community members.

In a nutshell, Bangla Kendro will stand as a haven, a second home to each and every Bangla speaking community member residing in North America, specially the youth and the children who are growing up in a land far from their roots, and will fulfill their needs as well as realize their dreams!

আমাদের লক্ষ্য

উত্তর আমেরিকায় বসবাসরত বাংলা ভাষাভাষী জনগোষ্ঠীর শুদ্ধ সাংস্কৃতিক বিকাশ ও চর্চার একটি প্রতিষ্ঠানের নাম বাংলা কেন্দ্র। এটি একটি অরাজনৈতিক ও অলাভজনক প্রতিষ্ঠান।

যুক্তরাষ্ট্রের কমনওয়েলথ অফ ভার্জিনিয়ার প্রচলিত আইন মেনে বাংলা কেন্দ্রের আইনগত প্রতিষ্ঠা করা হয়েছে। সেই সাথে আই আর এস (IRS)-এর কাছে অলাভজনক প্রতিষ্ঠান হিসেবে রেজিস্ট্রেশন করা হয়েছে। রেজিস্ট্রেশন নম্বর (EIN) : 99-1196183

নিজ মাতৃভূমি ছেড়ে জীবন ও জীবিকার তাগিদে উত্তর আমেরিকায় পাড়ি জমিয়েছেন যেসব প্রবাসী বাংলাদেশী, তাঁদের আশ্রয়স্থল হচ্ছে বাংলা কেন্দ্র।

বাংলা কেন্দ্র একটি বৃহত্তর স্বপ্নের নাম।

প্রতি বছর প্রবাসী বাঙালিরা অত্র এলাকায় অনেক অনুষ্ঠান করেন। বাংলা কেন্দ্র এইসব অনুষ্ঠানের জন্য একটি অডিটোরিয়াম নির্মাণের স্বপ্ন দেখে। কেবলমাত্রঅডিটোরিয়াম নয়, বাংলা কেন্দ্র একটি পূর্ণাঙ্গ বাংলা পাঠাগার এবং গবেষণাকেন্দ্রও প্রতিষ্ঠা করতে চায়।

সাহিত্য, সঙ্গীতসহ শিল্পকলার অন্যান্য সকল শাখায় উত্তর আমেরিকার সমস্ত শিল্পীদের বাঙালি সংস্কৃতির শুদ্ধ চর্চা অব্যাহত রাখতে বাংলা কেন্দ্র সকল ধরণের সহযোগিতা করবে।

এছাড়াও উত্তর আমেরিকায় বসবাসরত সকল বাংলাভাষী মানুষ যাতে এই দেশে প্রচলিত রীতিনীতি, আইনকানুন সম্পর্কে বিনামূল্যে ও সহজে সহায়তা পান, বাংলা কেন্দ্র সেই সকল সহযোগিতার কেন্দ্রবিন্দু হিসেবে কাজ করবে।

বাংলাকেন্দ্রের সকল কার্যক্রম স্বচ্ছ ও উন্মুক্ত।
